eBay auction sniper

I'm deleting snipe for the 19th - 2015-12-18

I'm deleting snipes that are set to execute on the 19th. It looks like the captcha page may not be showing as much now, but we were having the login errors before the captcha page started showing on every snipe, and it may be that those contributed to the captchas appearing. Other services were getting the captchas as well, so, the login errors may have had nothing to do with it.

I'm trying to see if something can be set up but the coder isn't sure about it so I'm trying to get another coder to help, and hopefully it will take care of the login errors - even though they shouldn't be happening in the first place. If it doesn't help, it may be time to give up, its getting old having to adapt to ebay changes, they either think its about time for automated sniping to go, or, they don't care how their changes affect automated sniping.

I should have had this going and ready but I didn't know if the captchas were going to be a permanent thing or not.

Anyway, hopefully it is set up tomorrow and we'll give it another go on Sunday.

Again, sorry for the trouble.

Still an issue, will be deleting snipes for tomorrow - 2015-12-18

The new captcha page ebay is showing is still a problem. I talked to the coder last night, but I don't know that there's anything that can be done to work get around it. We can't get through the page, the only hope is to set something up so that the sniper engine doesn't encounter it.

It looks like at least one of the other services are having the same issue, I'd guess all are. eBay added the page out of the blue, we're basically at their mercy. I don't know if they want to get rid of automated sniping, or at least sniping services, or what. A desktop program may not encounter the captcha page as the snipes would be coming from your own ip address.

I'll see if the coder has come up with anything tonight, and post an udpate if I have anymore news.

I'll be deleting all snipes set to execute tomorrow if things don't improve in the next few hours.

As I wrote in the last post, this might be it for hidbid if we can't get through this.

Sorry for the trouble.

I've deleted all snipes for the 18th - 2015-12-17

I've deleted all of the snipes for tomorrow, the 17th, as, they weren't going to execute, and another day of logins with captchas shown and not entered will just make things worse.

The coder is aware of the problem, hopefully he'll have at least an idea of what to try to get the captchas to stop appearing, and hopefully get rid of the login errors as well, tomorrow. The login errors shouldn't have occurred in the first place, as, we're submitting correct info (unless you entered the wrong info on the set up page, but members will have a login error on one snipe, and then not on the next one that executes 10 minutes later - even so, there is apparently a solution for this, but we don't have it -yet at least).

If we don't come up with some soon, I guess this is it for hidbid.

I'll post an update when I have some more news. In the meantime, you'll have to make other arrangements for your sniping.

Again, sorry for the trouble.
